The Gospel of Matthew in the Bible is a collection of ministry “firsts” for Jesus. In this book, readers are given details about the first days of Christ’s ministry in the province of Galilee. Jesus’ first disciples were found and called there, and they watched Jesus heal the sick and paralyzed and cast out demons for the first time. These men also followed Jesus up a mountain near the Sea of Galilee, where they heard their new leader deliver a sermon that touched on subjects like prayer, divorce, serving, fasting and more.
