LOCAL PARTNERS
Karis is both for the city and for the kingdom, which means we want to be known for seeking the good of the community and spreading the peace of the gospel across Mid-Missouri. Just as God told his people to plant roots and do good in the cities in which they were exiled (Jeremiah 29), we strive to seek the welfare of the city to which we’ve been sent.

Forcolumbia
ForColumbia is an annual event in which Christian churches throughout Columbia work together to serve individuals, non-profit organizations and other public venues in a city-wide day of service. Karis has partnered with ForColumbia since 2016 with members volunteering at various sites throughout the city each year.
love columbia
Love Columbia is a local non-profit with the mission to connect community relationships and resources to love people, while serving the whole person and engaging the whole community. Karis contributes financially to Love Columbia in order to love the vulnerable and marginalized members of our community.
city of refuge
City of Refuge is a local non-profit created to help refugees and their families recover and regain control of their lives. The goal is to help these refugees become productive, successful, and contributing members of our community. Karis partners with City of Refuge through various drives and volunteer opportunities as well as through financial support.
mylife clinic
My Life Clinic provides free pregnancy medical services, counseling, and resources for women. Karis supports the mission of My Life Clinic through financial contributions.
safe families for children
Safe Families for Children creates extended family–like supports for vulnerable families through a community of volunteers devoted to keeping children safe and families intact. Karis partners with Safe Families to provide volunteers for various roles such as host families and provides storage space for family supplies. Granny’s House
Granny’s House is a safe, nurturing place where children who live in nearby public housing can come each day after school and experience God’s love in action. Karis provides financial support for this Christ-centered outreach ministry.
RIDGEWAY TENANTS
Karis also utilizes our Ridgeway facility by leasing space to several local community organizations. Learn more about our current tenants below!

Dream tree academy 573
Dream Tree Academy 573's mission is to provide engaging after-school educational programs for culturally diverse youth. Focusing on music, graphic design, financial literacy, and mental health, they strive to educate, inspire, and advocate for at-risk youth. Dream Tree resides on the first floor of our Ridgeway facility.
jumpstart
Jumpstart is an early education organization that provides equal education opportunities to young children in under-resourced communities through partnerships with our local colleges. One JumpStart after-school care location is hosted in a classroom of our Ridgeway building.
Christ’s Church of Columbia
CCC is a local church started by Burmese refugees that gathers weekly on Sunday afternoons in our Fellowship Hall. Karis is excited to support and host local church plants in our Ridgeway facility.
City Garden School
City Garden School is a full-time primary school with a holistic approach to education that allows students to explore multiple arts and modalities through rich stories and experiences including an emphasis on outdoor education. City Garden resides on the third floor of our Ridgeway facility.
LegacyPoint Church
LegacyPoint Church is a Christian church in the First Ward of Columbia with a heart for God’s diverse people and is committed to leaving a legacy of devoted disciples of Jesus in our neighborhoods and nations. We are excited to host their gatherings seasonally in our Activities Building.
Basketball Programs
Several basketball programs use the basketball court in our Activities Building for team practices, training, and games.
