My World of Sports: 10.11.12

Greetings everyone. Some thoughts and links on sports today:

  • Yep, Mizzou lost to Vandy last week. I got to see it in person. Not too impressive, that's for sure. A lack of quality depth on offense - particularly along the line, is killing us. Hopefully Alabama won't literally kill our third-stringers this weekend. Oh, well. It's just football and we can always make fun of KU and Coach Weiss (see here and here).
  • Basketball starts this week. Join the Larsons at "Mizzou Madness" this Friday night. Speaking of the basketball Tigers, Phil Pressey is finally getting the recognition he deserves.
  • You've heard by now that some Chiefs fans cheered when Matt Cassel left with a concussion on Sunday. That sickens and embarrasses me. Why isn't anybody talking about the officials taking two touchdowns off the board? It seemed like they were instructed to let their beloved Ravens win.
  • Back to Mizzou sports, it seems like our timing talent-wise looks very good entering basketball season as new members of the SEC. It's been the opposite, it seems, with our football squad.
That's all I've got this week.
