Special Update: COVID-19 Pandemic

Due to the high transmission of the Delta variant in our area, and in line with the recommendations from both the CDC and the local health department, the following change is effective this Sunday, August 8th:

Face masks are recommended for everyone five years and older, regardless of vaccination status.

This decision was made due to the emerging danger of breakthrough infections among the vaccinated as well as the danger for the unvaccinated with this more contagious strain of the virus. We continue to encourage everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated in order to protect the most vulnerable among us. Socially distant seating remains available in the balcony, and Karis Kids volunteers are still required to wear face masks in the classrooms.

We feel disheartened along with you all as we take this additional step towards the end of the pandemic. While we are all in slightly different places in how we're approaching this stage of the pandemic, know there is much grace for you as we ask you to extend grace to others. We are so thankful for how you all have served one another throughout this long season, and know that we are here for you as we continue to persevere through the end.
