Plan Ahead for the 2016 Karis Fall Retreat

Join us for our first ever Karis Fall Retreat this October 7-8. Both Karis campuses will gather Friday night through Saturday night at the Pierce homestead just south of Columbia. Our topic will be Awakening. We’ll consider the topic of biblical revival - how God moves in power among His people. We’ll talk about what it means from the Scriptures. We’ll also consider how it’s been seen in church history. We’re talking real ghost stories - Holy Ghost stories - of how the Lord has worked in the past. It’s our hope that the Lord would expand our minds and hearts to what He could do. We want Him to give us a passion for biblical revival. We want Him to turn us into people who pray for that regularly. More than anything, we want the Lord to bring awakening to our church and across our land. Join us for what we hope will be a moving time of teaching and prayer.

Join us also for a great time of fellowship. We’ll camp together (although you can also choose to commute). We’ll share meals together. We’ll play games together. We’ll sing together. We’ll pray together. We’ll laugh together. It will be a great time for the whole family - for those who share your last name, as well as those who claim the name Karis. Join us around the campfire for a weekend of fun and fellowship. The cost - including all meals - is only $10 per adult and $4 per child (ages 3-17). Children two and under are free. If cost is a problem, please let Rob Gaskin know. We don’t want that to stop anyone from attending.

We’ve planned this retreat to include everyone from college students to families with young children. There will be later nights around the campfire for those without little ones. There will be breakout times for adults where we’ll talk about revivals in history. However, the main sessions will be kid-friendly with quick bursts of teaching. There will be Karis Kids times during the breakouts. Families can head to the tents early or even head back into the city. There will even be extended free time Saturday afternoon to allow for naps for kids, while others can hang out in God’s creation and play games.

We hope you’ll join us for our first Fall Retreat as we discuss biblical Awakening. Go here to register as soon as you can.
