The Vanderveen subdivision is a well-known area of north Columbia, holding about two thousand residents. These residents work all over the city, contributing to the city in a variety of ways. The demographic of these residents is primarily families, but there are also married couples, singles, empty nesters, and a mix of ethnicities. The entire subdivision is the macro mission. The micro mission is block by block within the subdivision. Ideally, as gospel community is built on one block, it spreads to the next block. As neighbors become followers of Jesus Christ, they in turn share the gospel with their neighbors, and so on. The true measuring stick of the effect of this vision is when MC members get invited to their neighbors' homes. This is when the block begins to transform into a community and the ground becomes fertile for gospel transformation.
