With over 33,000 students, the University of Missouri is the epicenter of culture in Columbia. Here at the University is where culture-making happens and where people go forward in life to impact the world around them. The people students meet, know, and spend time with here will impact what they decide to do in the future in profound ways. Therefore, our vision is to be a gospel-centered community oriented to impact the lives of Mizzou students in such a way that people come to know Christ, grow in Christ, and lovingly serve those around them.
At Logos we want to build community through weekly small groups that meet on campus each week. But it doesn’t end there. We also grow through Monthly Events and Campus Gatherings. Our Monthly Events are large-scale hangouts that encourage people to come together, grow with one another, and simply have fun with other students. Our Campus Gatherings are times in which all of our campus small groups gather together to worship the Lord and hear God’s word proclaimed. Ultimately, our vision is to see students at Mizzou redeemed and challenged by the Gospel while pointing them to the blessings of being in relationship with our local church, Karis.
WHERE WE MEET
We have 4 different Missional Communities (MCs), which are small groups that meet on Mondays through Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. Each meet in the Gillet/Ware Room (S206-GW), located on the south wing of the 2nd floor of Memorial Union. Our MCs are led by a student or graduate student who is a member of Karis Church.
The first Thursday of every month we come together to worship God through song and gather to hear God’s word proclaimed in a challenging, relevant, and Biblical manner. We meet at Leadership Auditorium located on the second floor of the MU Student Center at 8:00 p.m.
