Within the church community, we often find ourselves receiving counsel from other Christians as we fight sin, wrestle with painful pasts and make difficult decisions. But many of us find it difficult to come alongside others when they are in need. God's word challenges us to counsel and correct other believers as a form of discipleship, but how do we actually do that? The "Instruments of Grace" retreat hosted by Karis Women aims to show you how.
Using the Love/Know/Speak/Do model described in Tripp's "Instruments in the Redeemer's Hands", women attending the retreat will be given practical insight on how to counsel other believers through periods of suffering, temptation and personal growth. Women will also learn the importance that the Bible places on counseling in church community, and how they can fulfill the Great Commission and mirror the Gospel by walking with others through difficult life seasons.
In addition to gaining practical skills in counseling, women attending the retreat will be praying for those that might need their counsel and care. Women will also spend a significant amount of time in breakout groups discussing the material and how they can apply it to their lives. Last but not least, women will be worshiping The Wonderful Counselor together through song, fellowship and feasting.
Please join us as we learn how to become Instruments of His grace in the lives of others.
